They are Kingdom pictures which provide encouragement and comfort to the saints of all ages and tell the story of events in the Millennium. The series begins with a general introduction and an explanation of chapters 4 & 5, and the vision of the throne of God in heaven. Throughout the 7 songs Christ reigns as king, joined by the innumerable company of the Redeemed saints in power who sing a new song and worship the Lord God and his Son forever. This series of 3 talks looks at the Songs of the Redeemed that are found in the Book of Revelation. There are 7 songs of praise and gratitude that are given to us as an inspiration to endure to the end and be the “overcomers” that Jesus promised would share his throne in the Kingdom. What is critical is that those who aspire to be with Jesus Christ in the future are mentally aligned to the songs they will sing. Talk One- The first talk looks at the keys to understanding Revelation . From the opening verse we discern that this is a book uniquely written for the called and chosen servants of God. It is a book outlining the future history of the world from AD96 until the end of the Millennium. Much of the Apocalypse was delivered in the form of graphic symbolism. These symbols can be comprehended by the servants of God who have the correct understanding of the Promises of God and the correct doctrinal views about the coming Kingdom of God.The importance of this book cannot be overestimated, as it is the last opportunity of the risen, immortal Jesus to warn and inform his followers about the future. Talk Two – The book of Revelation contains many predictions of international wars, conquests, invasions and 2000 years of conflict ending with devastating judgements inflicted by God. Amazingly for a book with so much destruction and fierce divine wrath it is also the book with the most singing. In every stage of the savage unfolding history, visions of the rejoicing saints are inserted into the record.This talk looks at the first three songs and the sentiments the saints will express in highly emotional songs. Chapter 5 portrays the singing of the New Song by the recently immortalised saints. Chapter Seven is a vision especially targeted at the persecuted saints under pagan Rome and at the end of Chapter 11 we have a song focussed on the rulership we hope to share with our Lord. Talk Three. This talk covers the final four Apocalypse songs and the attributes of those who get to sing them. Culminating in the rejoicings over the final obliteration of everything associated with Apostacy. Th summary of the themes of these songs is a guide to attitudes and sympathies we should already have . We end with some reflections on the wonders of singing.
